Company History

 

Founded in 2003 by Bryan Schultz and headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, Desert Medical Equipment Inc. operates in 13 states across the country, serving the medical device needs of the hospitality and entertainment industries and their disabled patrons so they can enjoy their travels and find freedom.

The primary service DME provides is mobility scooters and associated medical device rentals targeted toward the disabled traveler. 

In partnering with the hotels and entertainment complexes, DME creates a seamless rental experience for their customers. We pride ourselves on being the customer service leaders in our industry. Whether that is helping you set up a rental at one of our partner properties or providing emergency 24-hour service for our devices, DME strives to provide outstanding customer support experiences where and when it counts.

Meet the Team

  • Brian Schultz

    PRESIDENT

    Bryan Schultz founded Desert Medical Equipment in 2003 to service the growing needs of those traveling with disabilities. Prior to opening Desert Medical Equipment, Mr. Schultz was instrumental in creating the concept of placing equipment on site at hotels and convention centers. Anyone who knows Mr. Schultz can attest to his lifelong commitment of taking care of those with disabilities. When not working, Mr. Schultz devotes most of his time to helping the community he grew up in. Believing you should always help those in need, he is involved in numerous charities both professionally and in his personal life. In his off time he enjoys “Jeeping,” hiking and spending time with family. Mr. Schultz continues to help those with disabilities to prove that personal relationships and service are not a thing of the past.

  • Angela Ramirez

    CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

    Angela Ramirez earned her degree in Business Management from California State University. She joined the team at Desert Medical Equipment in 2006 and has been instrumental in the development of policies and procedures as well as streamlining the day-to-day operations. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer and continues to implement new ideas in an effort to better assist the disabled traveler. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with her family.

  • Winn Greenwood

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Winfield Greenwood attended Utah Valley University, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing. He joined the team at Desert Medical Equipment in 2016 as the CFO. Mr. Greenwood has a comprehensive knowledge of strategies for Risk Management, Business and Personal Cash Flow Management, and Profitable Business Projections. He has used his knowledge to help DME maintain and plan its financial success and stability. He has assisted many organizations plan for their future while minimizing the devastating effects of poor planning, wealth eroding factors, and market risk. Winfield has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada, as well as volunteer his time with several children’s charities. In his off time he enjoys road biking, running and spending time with his family.

  • Jodi Tallo

    CLIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

    Jodi Tallo attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Ms. Tallo joined the team at Desert Medical Equipment in 2018. She carries the primary role in identifying and assessing customers’ medical needs to ensure worry free travel. She has worked in Sales and Marketing for over 15 years and continues to pursue her passion of travel as well as health and wellness. Prior to joining the team at DME, Ms. Tallo founded her own pilates and yoga studio. Ms. Tallo has been present in Las Vegas for over 18 years and in her free time she enjoys rock climbing, mountaineering and travel.

  • Kesley Pittman

    NATIONAL SALES & MARKETING

    Kesley Pittman joined Desert Medical Equipment in 2014 and carries the primary role as the National Sales Director and is responsible for the growth and maintenance of DME’s nationwide presence. She has an extensive background in customer service management and enjoys getting to know each and every customer. With a broad knowledge of the medical product, she can assist with any questions that may arise. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her two dogs and going out on the lake.
